Emojinius Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 15, 2026

Emojinius is a mobile puzzle game operated by Richard Gui. This Privacy Policy explains what information Emojinius collects and uses, how optional analytics works, and the choices available to players.

1. Who operates Emojinius

Emojinius is operated by Richard Gui.

For privacy questions or requests, contact:

info.emojinius@gmail.com

2. Information Emojinius does not require

Emojinius does not require players to create an account.

The app does not ask players to provide a name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, date of birth, or payment information.

The app also does not intentionally collect or transmit the text a player enters as a puzzle answer, the canonical puzzle answer, puzzle explanations, or other free-form personal content.

3. Optional analytics

Analytics is optional and disabled by default.

When first using the app, a player can choose whether to allow analytics. Until permission is granted, analytics collection is not enabled.

Players can change their analytics choice later using the Analytics setting on the Home screen. Declining analytics does not prevent a player from playing the game, saving progress, completing puzzles, participating in daily challenges, or sharing results.

If a player grants permission and the distributed version of Emojinius is configured to use Firebase, the app may use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC.

When analytics is enabled, Emojinius may record gameplay events containing information such as:

This information is used to understand how players interact with Emojinius and to improve the game.

Emojinius does not include the player’s typed answer, canonical puzzle answer, puzzle explanation, or arbitrary free-form text in its custom analytics events.

When analytics is enabled, Google may also process technical information about the device, app, and use of the service as part of Google Analytics for Firebase. Google’s handling of this information is governed by its applicable terms and privacy documentation.

4. Crash reporting

Emojinius does not currently use Firebase Crashlytics or another dedicated crash-reporting service.

If crash reporting is introduced in a future version and changes the information collected by the app, this Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.

5. Information stored on the device

Emojinius stores certain information locally on the player’s device so that the game can function and remember progress. This may include:

This information generally remains on the device until the app’s data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to operating-system backup and restore functionality.

Emojinius does not currently operate user accounts, a cloud database, a custom application server, or a cross-device player profile.

6. Sharing results

After completing a daily challenge, players may choose to share their result using the device’s native sharing functionality.

The generated sharing message may contain the daily challenge number, emoji, optional solve duration, and a link to the daily challenge.

Sharing is voluntary. The player chooses whether to share a result and which app or recipient receives it.

Emojinius does not receive the recipient list or the contents of conversations handled by another application.

If analytics has been enabled, Emojinius may record that the sharing feature was used. The player’s puzzle answer and puzzle explanation are not included in that analytics event.

Third-party apps or services selected by the player for sharing may process information according to their own privacy policies.

7. Service providers

Emojinius may use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC, when analytics has been enabled by the player.

Google may process analytics and technical information on behalf of or in connection with Emojinius according to the applicable Firebase and Google terms and privacy documentation.

The current version of Emojinius does not include an advertising SDK, AdMob, an authentication service, a custom backend API, a cloud player database, or an advertising-attribution service.

Emojinius does not sell players’ personal information.

8. Why information is processed

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, Emojinius relies on the player’s consent for optional analytics.

Players may decline analytics or withdraw their analytics consent through the app without losing access to the game’s core functionality.

Information stored locally on the device is used as necessary to provide game functionality, maintain progress, remember player choices, and operate features requested by the player.

9. Retention and deletion

Locally stored gameplay and consent information can generally be removed by clearing Emojinius app data or uninstalling the app, subject to the device operating system’s backup and restore behavior.

Analytics information processed through Google Analytics for Firebase is retained according to the settings configured for the Firebase project and Google’s applicable service policies. Retention periods and deletion capabilities may therefore differ from locally stored information.

Players may withdraw consent for future analytics collection at any time using the Analytics setting in Emojinius.

Depending on the nature of the information and how it is processed, requests concerning information processed directly by Google may also be subject to Google’s privacy processes and applicable policies.

10. International processing

Emojinius may be distributed globally, including in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and United States.

If optional Firebase analytics is enabled, information may be processed by Google in countries other than the player’s country of residence. Google is responsible for applying the safeguards required for its processing under its applicable terms, policies, and legal obligations.

Players in certain countries or regions may have privacy rights under applicable law, which can include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, as well as the right to withdraw consent.

To make a privacy request relating to Emojinius, contact info.emojinius@gmail.com.

Where applicable, players may also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection or privacy authority.

11. Security

Emojinius is designed to minimize the information transmitted from the game. In particular, custom analytics events are designed not to transmit raw puzzle answers, canonical answers, puzzle explanations, or other free-form text entered into the answer field.

The core game does not require an internet service operated by Emojinius.

No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Players should therefore avoid entering personal or sensitive information into puzzle answer fields.

12. Children and younger players

Emojinius is intended primarily for teens and young adults and is not specifically directed to young children.

The app does not require an account or ask players to provide their name, email address, date of birth, precise location, contacts, or payment information. Optional analytics is disabled unless permission to enable it has been granted.

Privacy and consent requirements for children and teenagers vary between countries and platforms. Emojinius may apply additional restrictions or controls where required by applicable law or app-store requirements.

Parents or guardians with questions about privacy can contact info.emojinius@gmail.com.

13. Apple App Store and Google Play

Emojinius may be distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Apple and Google may independently collect and process information relating to app downloads, purchases, devices, diagnostics, store usage, or accounts under their own privacy policies. Such processing is controlled by the applicable platform provider rather than Emojinius.

The privacy information displayed on an app-store listing is intended to reflect the data practices of the version of Emojinius distributed through that store.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Emojinius’s features, data practices, service providers, or legal obligations change.

When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated. Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided.
